Tupac Shakur.
The first rapper to really pour his heart and soul into the mic and talk about both his personal issues as well as real world issues affecting Black people in areas of racism, politics, sociology, and civil rights. He even went as far as predicting his own death with his lyrics. He's regarded within the Rap community as an almost Messiah-like figure due to his accurate prophecies. He's also seen by some as the rapper equivalent of Martin Luther King and
Malcolm X. Many rappers today regard him as
the greatest rapper of all time.
